Baird Bolsters Private Wealth Unit With Host Of Hires

Robert W Baird, the Milwaukee, WI-based investment bank and wealth management firm, has strengthened its private wealth management group with the addition of three teams and two individual advisors for its Colorado, North Carolina and Florida offices.

The Smith Norris group joins the Boulder, CO office with $640 million in assets under management. The group includes Shawn Smith, senior vice president, also serving as branch manager, and Will Norris, senior vice president and financial advisor.

Joining the Denver, CO branch, the four-strong RHY group – with $350 in AuM – consists of John Robinson, senior vice president; Scott Young, vice president; Martin Hoffman, also vice president, and Brian Robinson.

Meanwhile, the Allman-Bobbie group, based in Raleigh, NC, with $150 million in AuM, includes John Allman, senior vice president, and vice president Frances Bobbie. 

The remaining team hire is the Buskey McGinty group with $265 million in AuM. Managing director Paul Buskey and senior vice president Jane McGinty will be based in Sarasota, FL. 

Meanwhile, with $390 in AuM, Scott Woods starts as managing director of the Sarasota, FL and Durango, CO offices, while director John Duguid joins the Charlotte, NC office, with $135 million in AuM.

Baird was established in 1919 and is employee-owned, with additional offices in Europe and Asia. It oversees and manages client assets of around $87 billion.
